In Episode 10, Nico is shown to be a very skilled cook despite saying she has never cooked before. Nico Yazawa is the Idol Research Club's president and is interested in fashion, therefore she designs the group's outfits with Kotori. The reason for this is because of the failure of her first idol group and the attention she received from her mother, specifically her little siblings. In episode four of the second season, it is revealed that she led her mother and siblings to believe she was the main member of μ's and the others were simply backups. Nico often gets annoyed with the student council president, Eli Ayase, for taking away the spotlight from her with her beauty and maturity. However, Nico accidentally forgot about her lie, and ends up cooking for everyone, where the truth is revealed. An example of her trying to make the others believe she is the better idol is in episode 10 when Nico claims that she has a personal chef like Maki, and Kotori falls for the lie unknowingly.

When Honoka and her friends ask her to have the club as μ's base of operations, she is reluctant at first, doubting how far they are willing to go to become successful idols, until she approves of their effort and eventually joins the group. Nico formed the Idol Research Club, but all of her club members left one after another because of her high standards.

However, much to her chagrin, Nico is childlike in appearance and behavior despite her age, looking much younger than the rest of the group. She has the strongest desire to become an idol out of everyone in μ's, and has tirelessly worked hard in order to achieve her goal. Nico is a third-year student interested in fashion, and thus acts as the group's wardrobe supervisor alongside Kotori.
